CAMPING Info

GENERAL INFO

There are three (3) separate campgrounds at CMC Rocks QLD (A Campground, B Campground and C Campground).

A Campground and B Campground are the closest to the Festival Site at Willowbank Raceway. C Campground is at Queensland Raceway, and catching the Festival Shuttle Bus service is the quickest and easiest way to travel between the Festival site and the Campgrounds.

Each Campground has a variety of different Camp Sites (powered and non-powered) available to purchase.

You can check out a Campground Map and full details of the different Camp Sites available to purchase here.

Noting, the Festival stages are not able to be viewed from any of the Campgrounds.

AMENITIES, WASTE & DUMP POINTS

Shared amenities (toilets, showers and hand wash units) are located in all Campgrounds.

In C Campground, there will be three (3) dump points to empty cassettes. In A & B Campgrounds, you can dump in the toilets. Please do not allow your grey water to be dumped onto the ground - this is unhygienic and irresponsible. Please use the dump points or contact our Camping Marshals for further advice.

ALCOHOL IN THE CAMPGROUNDS

All CMC Campgrounds are strictly an alcohol-free zone. Vehicles entering the Campgrounds may be searched. Any alcohol found will be confiscated, not returned and the offending patron(s) may be evicted from the Festival Site and Campgrounds for the remainder of the Festival.

FOOD + DRINK + ICE

You're allowed to bring food and drinks (non-alcoholic) into the Campgrounds.

If you don't feel like cooking, there is a small selection of food and coffee outlets available in all Campgrounds and a large selection in the Festival grounds!

Ice will be available within the Campgrounds to purchase.

Drinking water is available at various locations at all Campgrounds. There is no capacity to supply water via tap or hose to any individual Camp Sites.

If you run out of supplies, jump aboard one of CMC’s free shopping shuttles and head into Yamanto where you’ll find the usual suspects of a supermarket, bakery and general goods store.

GAS COOKERS

Gas cookers are allowed. Your equipment may be inspected by Campground Marshals to ensure it is in good working order or to assess any concerns regarding the age, type or use of your equipment.

It is a condition of using any gas cookers at the Camp Site that you comply with the Guidelines for the Safe use of Camping Gas Cookers:

  • Please have your cooking equipment serviced before bringing it to the Camp Site.
  • Never light a gas cooker inside your tent or in any other enclosed area.
  • Always take note of the colour of the flame: it should be burning blue. If it’s burning with an orange or yellow flame or is creating sooty stains on your stove you may have a problem with your stove so PLEASE DO NOT USE IT.
  • Do not store spare gas cylinders inside your tent, mobile home, or caravan.
  • If you smell gas or think you have a leak, turn the stove off, evacuate the area and get help from a Campground Marshal or Security.
  • Never use a naked flame to search for a leak.
  • Empty canisters and aerosols may not be completely empty. When you’ve removed it from your stove, store it upright outside your tent for a while to allow any gas that may remain to evaporate.
  • Never attempt to refill a gas cannister.
GENERATORS

You can bring your own generator, but you must have it switched off between Midnight and 7am each day on site at the Festival.

MEDICAL

Medical is on site at CMC Rocks QLD. Head to the nearest Marshal Station and they will contact Medical for you. Alternatively, you can advise your closest Security Guard, Camp Site Marshal, Event Team member, Official Volunteer ASAP or text the Patron Help Line on 0482 082 812.

POOLS

Pools (inflatable pools, plunge pools, spa pools, etc.) are not allowed in the Campgrounds (or Festival Site). CMC is an all-ages festival experience and pools can be a serious safety hazard.

RUBBISH AND SUSTAINABILITY

Camp Site Marshals will be handing garbage bags out to you as you arrive, you can use these or your own. Fill ‘em up and drop ‘em to the end of your camping row throughout the weekend for collection by our waste and recycling team.

Green bins will be onsite for your empty drink containers. Partnering with the Containers for Change program means 10 cents from every container will be donated to CMC Rocks QLD’s nominated charity partners. Stay tuned for more updates.

P.S. In 2024 our CMC Rocks audience helped raise a whopping $8,934.59 being donated to BOTH Aussie Helpers and Thankful4Farmers! That’s over 180,000cans and bottles going into the green bins at CMC Rocks – bloody outstanding.

Aussie Helpers is a rural charity supporting farmers and farming communities through every season they face by providing essentials like animal feed, financial assistance, food hampers and fuel cards, school fee support and laptops and little luxuries like Christmas hampers and gifts for kids.

Thankful4Farmers funds research, technology, and sustainable practices for farms, provides health and wellness solutions for farmers, and supports resources and infrastructure for thriving farming communities.

We loved being able to support both of these charities in 2024 and couldn’t have done it without y’all.

Arriving at the CAMPGROUNDS

OPENING HOURS

Make sure you check what day and time your Campground opens at.  There are a coupla exciting changes in 2025 for our Campground operating hours and we don’t want anyone to miss out! Check out the Gate Opening Times of the Campgrounds here.

Please note, no entry is permitted into the Campgrounds outside the hours specified.

ARRIVING AT THE CAMPGROUNDS

Once you arrive at the main Campground gates you will be directed by Traffic signage, Traffic Marshals and/or security to either A, B or C Campground. Please be patient and work with our Camping Marshal team while they assist you with setting up on a Camp Site.

Dropping off your gear & parking

Only the one vehicle per Camp Site (which has the Camp Site Ticket) is allowed to drive directly to the Camp Site and remain at the Camp Site. Extra vehicles for the same Camp Site will be allowed to drop off equipment/luggage but then must go directly to the Overflow Carpark with a valid ticket. All Campers who require Overflow Car Parking must purchase it in advance from AXS.

There will be a limited capacity Drop Off and Pick Up zone located at the Festival Site in 2025 for patrons arriving in private vehicles e.g. a friend or family member is dropping you off or you’re using a taxi/rideshare vehicle to arrive at the Campgrounds. Due to the volume of traffic associated with the Festival, we recommend using the Festival Bus Service.

A Campers Entry Map which includes a location for the Drop Off and Pick Up zone and a detailed instructions on how to enter the Campgrounds will be released closer to the Festival.

CAMP SITE TICKET

Only one (1) Camp Site Ticket is issued for each Camp Site purchased, and it provides entry for the (1) vehicle into the Campgrounds that will be parking up at the Camp Site (excluding Mini Sites and The Inn).

Any additional Vehicles driven by other people who are camping in your group on your Camp Site, will require an Overflow Parking Ticket for the Campground’s Overflow Car Park (these can be purchased online from AXS).

CAMPGROUND ENTRY

You will be able to enter the Campground by presenting your Campground Entry Ticket and Full Festival Ticket via your AXS Mobile ID Account. You must have purchased both Ticket types to be in the Campgrounds.
