WHAT DAY WILL THE CAMPGROUND BE OPEN?

Campground C and Campground B will be open from Wednesday 19 March 2025.

ARE GAS COOKERS ALLOWED?

Yes, personal gas cookers are allowed.

Your equipment may be inspected by Campground Marshals to ensure it is in good working order or to assess any concerns regarding the age, type or use of your equipment.

It is a condition of using any gas cookers at the Camp Site that you comply with the Guidelines for the Safe use of Camping Gas Cookers:

  • Please have your cooking equipment serviced before bringing it to the Camp Site.
  • Never light a gas cooker inside your tent or in any other enclosed area.
  • Always take note of the colour of the flame: it should be burning blue. If it’s burning with an orange or yellow flame or is creating sooty stains on your stove you may have a problem with your stove so PLEASE DO NOT USE IT.
  • Do not store spare gas cylinders inside your tent, mobile home or caravan.
  • If you smell gas or think you have a leak, turn the stove off, evacuate the area and get help from a Campground Marshal or Security.
  • Never use a naked flame to search for a leak.
  • Empty canisters and aerosols may not be completely empty. When you’ve removed it from your stove, store it upright outside your tent for a while to allow any gas that may remain to evaporate.
  • Never attempt to refill a gas cannister.
I DON’T REALLY WANT TO BRING ANY GEAR FOR CAMPING, BUT I WANT TO CAMP.  WHAT DO I DO?

Best options if you’d like a set & forget solution and you bring the bare minimum is the The Inn or The Glampstead.

WHAT IS THE INN?

The Inn is where the tent (and some extras, if you choose that option) are supplied, setup and packed down for you. So you don’t have to bring your own tent. Patrons of The Inn will have a designated area and will only be able to camp with friends who have purchased a site in The Inn area. No general camping patrons will be allowed in The Inn area.

There are Small Tents (max 2 people) and Medium Tents (max 4 people) available for hire in The Inn area. Both Tents have two options available:

1. Tent Only (includes setup and pack up); or

2. Tent with Extras (including setup and pack up).

The ‘Extras’ are:

  • Single Stretcher Beds (double stretcher beds available on request via AXS)
  • Camp mats
  • 1 x LED lantern

Please note: Linen is NOT supplied! Please bring your own sleeping bag, sheets, pillow, towels etc.

WHAT IS THE RANCH?

The Ranch has both Large and Medium Sites and is located closest to the Festival Entry. All sites are powered, have access to showers and toilets, and include complimentary daily breakfast, daily water refill (1 per day) and a free merch item.

WHAT IS THE GLAMPSTEAD?

A new Campground with a very limited number of Deluxe Tents with a full glamping experience will be making its debut at CMC Rocks 2025.

WILL TENTS BE SUPPLIED?

No, unless you have purchased a site at The Inn or The Glampstead where tents are included as part of this Camp Site offering.

IS THERE POWER IN THE CAMPGROUNDS?

There are both powered and unpowered sites in the campgrounds. It depends on what you purchased.

If you have a powered site, it will be 10 amps or 15 amps. You must bring your own 25 metre extension cord. We cannot guarantee connection to the campground distribution board with extension cords that are shorter than 25 metres in length.

All extension cords must be tested and tagged as per Electrical Testing Standard AS3760

The following Camp Sites have no power:

  • All Mini Sites
  • The Inn
  • Some Medium Sites

Powered:

  • Some Medium Sites have power (provision for both 10 amps and 15 amps) available.
  • All Large Sites have power (provision for both 10 amps and 15 amps) available.
  • The Ranch Medium Sites
  • The Ranch Large Sites
  • The Glampstead

Please note: If you have a powered site, it will be 10 amps or 15 amps. You must bring your own 25 metre extension cord. We cannot guarantee connection to the campground distribution board with extension cords that are shorter than 25 metres in length.  All extension cords must be tested and tagged as per Electrical Testing Standard AS3760

CAN I BRING A GENERATOR?

Yes you can however they must be turned off from Midnight – 7am each day you’re on site at CMC Rocks QLD out of respect for your neighbours.

WHERE ARE THE CAMPGROUNDS LOCATED?

There are three (3) separate campgrounds at CMC (A Campground, B Campground and C Campground) located in and around Willowbank Raceway.

A Campground and B Campground are the closest to the Festival Site. C Campground is at Queensland Raceway, and catching the Festival Shuttle Bus service is the quickest and easiest way to travel between the Festival site and the Campgrounds. A Map and Full details of the different Camp Sites available to purchase within these Campgrounds can be found here.

Noting, the Festival stages are not able to be viewed from any of the Campgrounds.

CAN MY MATES AND I BOOK CAMPING SITES NEXT TO EACH OTHER?

All Camping Sites will be allocated by the CMC Camp Marshals on the first come, first served basis. If you wish to camp with friends, you must all arrive together and have purchased the same size and type of Camping Site (e.g. Small, Medium No Power, Medium With Power, Large) in the same Campgrounds as all Camping Site sizes are located in separate areas.

ARE WASTE FACILITIES PROVIDED FOR CARAVANS / MOBILE HOMES?

We provide a sewage dump tank for patrons. Patrons need to carry their own blackwater/greywater to this tank.

IS WATER AVAILABLE ON THE CAMP SITE?

Drinking water is available at various locations at all Campgrounds. There is no capacity to supply water via tap or hose to any individual Camp Sites.

CAN I TAKE ALCOHOL INTO THE CAMP SITES?

All CMC Campgrounds are strictly an alcohol-free zone. Vehicles entering the Campgrounds may be searched. Any alcohol found will be confiscated, not returned and the offending patron(s) may be evicted from the Festival Site and Campgrounds for the remainder of the Festival.

CAN I BUY OVERFLOW PARKING IN ANOTHER CAMPGROUND?

Yes you can.

Overflow Car Parking will be located in A, B and C Campgrounds. Detailed instructions on how to enter all Overflow Cark Parking will be provided closer to the Festival. All Campers who require Overflow Car Parking must purchase it in advance from AXS.

We strongly recommend carpooling whenever possible, as it not only makes entry into the Campgrounds and Festival Site faster but also benefits the environment.

WHERE DO I PARK MY CAR IN THE CAMP SITE?

There is a strict policy of one vehicle per Camping Spot - parked within the Camp Site measurements (excluding Mini Sites and The Inn which do not permit any parking at all on the camp site).

Vehicles are permitted to park and unload their vehicle at their camp site and then:

Mini Sites: all vehicles for Mini Sites must proceed to the Designated Parking Area located behind the Mini Sites.

The Inn: all vehicles for The Inn must proceed to the Designated Parking Area located behind The Inn.

Medium Sites: any extra vehicles for Medium Sites (only one vehicle permitted per Medium Site) must proceed to the Overflow Car Park.

Large Sites: any extra vehicles for Large Sites (only one vehicle permitted per Large Site) must proceed to the Overflow Car Park.

The Ranch: any extra vehicles for Medium or Large Sites (only one vehicle permitted per Medium Site or Large Site) must proceed to the Overflow Car Park.

Every Vehicle entering the Camp Site must have a ticket in their name in their AXS Mobile ID Account for either:

  1. Camp Site & Campgrounds Entry; or
  2. Overflow Carpark Vehicle Pass for extra vehicles.

You will not be permitted to enter the Camp Site without one of these bar-coded passes under any circumstances.

CAN I MOVE MY VEHICLE TO COME AND GO FROM THE CAMP SITE OR DRIVE AROUND THE CAMPGROUNDS?

CAN I HAVE MORE THAN ONE (1) CARAVAN/CAMPER/TRAILER/HORSE FLOAT ON MY CAMP SITE?

CAN WE HAVE MORE THAN ONE (1) VEHICLE ON OUR CAMP SITE IF IT FITS?

No! Only one (1) vehicle is permitted to remain on the Camp Site. You will need to purchase an Overflow Parking Ticket for any additional vehicles that are needing to stay in the Campgrounds. That vehicle is permitted to drop equipment off to your Camp Site before moving to the designated Overflow Parking area. It cannot stay on the site.
